Buyers are advised to proceed with caution! The cover proclaims that this is the second, improved edition. Unwary buyers might assume from this that the book is up-to-date. Closer examination reveals that the 2006 edition is only an unaltered reprint of the 2nd edition, originally published in 1999. This book might have represented the 'Stand der Technik' when the 2nd edition first appeared in 1999. Today, it is probably only of value to social historians. The bibliographical references and translation market statistics are now a minimum of ten years old. The currency remains DM.
